A few days ago we arrived in El Calafate with several mechanical problems and went to a workshop recommended by some traveling friends. When we arrive, the first to greet us was a black puppy with a white spot on the chest, beautiful and very demanding of affection.
Traveling with Cactus
Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego
Once past El Bolsón we faced one of the longest stages with nothing to visit, and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING, (except Guanacos of course, of these there are many!) From there to El Chaltén (1260km) we found only 3 small villages, Tecka , Río Mayo and Tres Lagos, at least wet could refill fuel…
Stage 4. Argentina – from northeastern to patagonia
Argentina is really big !!! We have traveled about 6000 kilometers in this country and we still have a lot to see. It has very different landscapes and climates.
Adventures on wheels
A couple of days ago we arrive to Piedra del Águila with three backpackers that we brought from Neuquén till here, Conni, Diego and Jona. Really nice to meet you, we wish you all the best!
We stop in the YPF petrol station and we immediately saw a brown Steyr Pinzgauer really well prepared as an expedition vehicle, which looks awesome!
Stage 3. Brazil
Brazil is green, and it’s rainy. We did a short visit to this country and these 2 adjectives describe very well what we have seen.
Stage 2. Uruguay
Uruguay was not in our initial route but we are lucky that we change it because we liked a lot the coast of that country.
In Montevideo we didn’t make any tourism, we were just running from a place to another organizing the paperwork needed to pick up cactus.
Stage 1. Argentina (without Cactus)
Buenos Aires, a city far away from Europe but with a Mediterranean style, with an impressive architecture, a mix of houses and majestic buildings.
It has many different neighborhoods, all of them different, from La Boca with their colorful houses and their humble people till Palermo with their beautiful shops with hipster style.
